We were so interested to see Amazon's list of 100 Books To Read in a Lifetime, and then we happily rooted around in the cyberworld for responses to that list. A favorite response here was the readers social site LibraryThing's observation that Amazon's list of chosen books is particularly young - most of the books chosen were published in the 20th and even the 21st centuries. LibraryThing's members felt the written word from centuries before were being mightily ignored, so they created a list of their own: Books to Read in a Lifetime (That are Older than 200 Years).
Then of course we began to wonder: what would a St. Andrew's School community list look like? Because we really want to know, we made up a survey, and here it is! What books would YOU put on that list?
