The latest SAS Book Club read is The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. The group thought it important to select a book that was not only a quick read but thought-provoking as well. This is a very busy time of year for the students, jam-packed with end of year events and classroom projects, but it was also important to them to meet for one last time to discuss one of their passions, reading books.
The leaders of the book club, Madeline '21 and Spencer '20 both agree the book is "about the meaning and spending of time." Madeline says the book "follows the story of Father Time, the first person to measure the passing of the hours and his discovery of what this innovation means for the human race."
The book club will have its final meeting on Monday, May 20 at 7 o'clock in Mr. Speers' classroom.
We look forward to hearing about the selection for their summer read!
