It is that magical time of year, when we look back over the past twelve months and reflect. Oh yes, it is Top Ten season! The Atlantic, New York Times, Goodreads and many others have revealed what they believe are the Top Ten Books of 2025. While some books show up on multiple lists, no two lists are the same. The Director and There is No Place for Us both show up on The Atlantic’s Top Ten, as well as The New York Times. The New Yorker and The New York Times agree that The Sisters and The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny are must-reads. Time Magazine and The Atlantic are on the same page (pun intended) when it comes to Baldwin: A Love Story and A Guardian and a Thief.
